Myth says that hundreds of years ago, there was a red devil living in a cave deep in the Toggenburg mountains. Today, although the Güntensperger cheese dairy is not inhabited by a red devil, you will find a fantastic cheese there instead. It is said that
when you eat Roter Teufel, a little devil tickles your tastebuds with his trident.

Intensive flavours of caramelised onions and herbs, with rich diary notes. The bolder label of the Extra speaks to the more direct and pronounced flavour. Roter Teufel Extra is aged further, to 9 months and develops toasty, caramelised onion flavours, backed up by a rich sweetness. Smooth, creamy cheese with small eyes. The paste is flinty with a generous crystallisation.
